2019
40th Anniversary of GCMT
Presented with the “silver” certificate for quality management and youth development program 2018/19 awarded by the German Golf Association (DGV).
GCMT was able to make the Top 30 golf courses in Germany and 4th place in Hessen.
2018
Completed restoration and renovation of our clubhouse and many outdoor facilities. Holes 2 and 8 redesigned.
2015
All shareholders and members officially vote on a significant investment budget to renovate and revitalize our clubhouse and outdoor facilities for sustainable development.
2014

For the first time ever, Golf-Club Main-Taunus is awarded with the “GOLF & NATUR GOLD” – certificate by the German Golf Association and has been successfully and sustainably renewed every year since.

Continued investments in the sustainability and development of the golf course and the entire infrastructure.
All 850 shares of Main-Taunus MT Golfanlagen GmbH & Co. KG are in ownership of our members. Golf-Club Main-Taunus reached a total of one thousand members!

A highly advanced sprinkler system installed on the 18-hole course.

Establishment of Main-Taunus MT Golfanlagen GmbH & Co. KG.
1989
The new clubhouse is finished, and a grand re-opening of the entire golf course is held.
1989
The golf course is re-designed, and a 200-metre driving range is added.
1987
Founding of the limited partnership and initial offering for the 850 available shares.
1986
All members vote in favour of the purchase of the all the land the golf course is built on as part of a limited partnership.
1984
Construction of the second 9 holes is officially finished and the golf course is “ready to play”. Our first “Martinsgans” tournament is held.
1982
The first 9 holes are built and Golf-Club Main-Taunus is officially recognized by the German Golf Associations Hessischer Golf Verband (HGV) and Deutscher Golf Verband (DGV).
1981
Grand opening of a temporary club house with restaurant where today’s machine hall and greenkeeping facilities are located.
1980
The first PGA Professional starts working at GCMT. More and more members join the club.
1979
Founding and official registration of Golf-Club Main-Taunus e.V. as a golf club.
1979
Building permit for erection of an 18-hole golf course with bird sanctuary’s, public green spaces and hiking paths for re-cultivating the old gravel pit.
70s
On the grounds of a gravel pit, a new golf course is planned by golf course architect Dr. Bernhard von Limburger. Plans call for a golf course in a superior location in the Rhein-Main and Taunus areas.
